Overview

Pawsitive Friends is a non-profit platform that connects loving families with pets in shelters worldwide. You can browse pets and shelters without an account. To submit an application you will need to sign in with Google.

Navigation

The top navigation bar gives you access to the main areas of the site:

• Home — Landing page with a shelter selector and quick-action cards.
• Pets — Browse all available pets. Hover over the link to see category shortcuts.
• Shelters — Browse partner shelters filtered by country.
• About Us — Our mission and team.

When signed in you will also see a personalized greeting and a Log Out link in the top-right corner.

Browsing Pets

1. Go to Pets (/pets).
2. Use the filter links at the top to narrow by category (Dogs, Cats, etc.) or select All to see every pet.
3. Click About Me on any pet card to open a detail panel showing the pet's breed, age, description, and photo.
4. Close the panel by clicking the × button or clicking outside it.

Browsing Shelters

1. Go to Shelters (/shelters).
2. Use the country filter links at the top to narrow results by location, or select All.
3. Click any shelter card to open its detail page, which shows contact information and the pets currently available there.

Home Page Shelter Selector

The home page includes a shelter selector dropdown. Pick a shelter to quickly filter pets by that location without leaving the home page.

Signing In

A Google account is required to submit any application. To sign in:

1. Click Sign In in the top-right corner, or go to /signin.
2. Click Continue with Google.
3. Complete the Google sign-in flow — you will be redirected back to the site automatically.

To sign out, click Log Out in the top-right corner after signing in.

Submitting an Application

Requires sign-in.

1. Go to Application (/application).
2. Fill in your personal information: full name, email, phone number, and address.
3. Select how you would like to help:
   • Adopt — give a pet a permanent forever home.
   • Foster — provide temporary care while a permanent home is found.
   • Sponsor — support a pet financially without taking them home.
   • Volunteer — donate your time to shelter activities.
4. Complete the additional questions that appear for your chosen option.
5. Click Submit.

After submitting you will see a confirmation page. Expect a response within 7–10 business days.
